I have Quickbooks 2002 on my computer. Whenever a QuickBooks backup is performed it starts off a BackupMyStuff backup instead. What do I do?

The reason this happens is that in the UK edition of QuickBooks 2002, their backup function was not implemented properly and so you cannot turn off the online backup function.

The only solution to this problem is to upgrade your QuickBooks software and this will give you the option to turn off the online backup from within QuickBooks.

Alternatively, you could rely on the BackupMyStuff backup to protect your QuickBook files if you remain on QuickBooks 2002.

Intuit are not going to fix the problem in QuickBooks 2002. Their recommended action is to upgrade your version of their product.
