How can I be certain my data is secure?
When your backup runs, we protect your data by encrypting (scrambling) it using world recognised encryption techniques. Your data is encrypted before it leaves your PC and remains encrypted while it is stored on the data vaults.

Additional security is achieved using SendOnce and Delta Blocking technologies.

SendOnce technology detects if files on your PC are identical to ones already on the vault (for example Windows Operating System files) and if so, the files are skipped from the backup.

Delta Blocking detects changes to files since the last backup and only transmits those changes to the vault rather than the entire file. The changes are then merged with the file in the vault to create a file identical to the one on your PC. Delta blocking means that entire files are seldom transmitted and also reduces the amount of data you need to transmit, so keeping backup times to a minimum and security to a maximum.
